Welcome to DreamNet!
To assist you in your goal of making meaningful connections, once in a while, you'll be asked a fun question designed to spark conversation, with the opportunity to share your answers with fellow dreamers!
Today's question is...

What is a completely unnecessary hill that you are absolutely willing to die on?

Examples include things like "pineapple on pizza" or this dress DEFINITELY being white and gold.

Post this in a comment to answer!

I'm no urchin, you're thinkin' of my dude Murch. I'm a squid.

[She corrected him completely matter-of-factly, as if it was an honest misunderstanding and not her being ribbed. And at his display of his mouth, she simply put a finger to her chin and nodded sagely. Where a human might have found it frightening, it struck Pearl as pretty run of the mill.]

Oh, okay.

Yeah, I got gills, but only in my swim form.

[Demonstrating as well, her features blurred and her body shrank and morphed, almost as if she was melting, accompanied by a sound effect like a huge rain drop falling into a pool. Lying flat on the ground was an arrow-shaped creature, roughly the same size as Bill, with slick flesh in a gradiant of cream to pink, much like Pearl's hair. She had cartoonish golden eyes and short central tentacles with two longer, thicker arms on either side. She jumped in the air a few times for emphasis, which made a wet slap when she landed, before changing back.] See?

[And he rolls with the correction, amused, as if it doesn't much matter that she bounced off his joke pragmatically.] I never was a marine biologist, but I like thinking about the really abyssal stuff!

...Hey that's neat! Good job on the... on the ensquidding. Liqsquidation. That's really ...

I mean, it does make sense. I wouldn't think the regular Cthulhu look is much good underwater, and that look there, while really quality foley, isn't much good up here.

So you kinda live between two worlds? How's that work?

Not exactly. Water actually makes us melt. But it's fine because we just respawn at the nearest respawn point. [ She shrugged lightly. ] The swim form is for swimmin' in ink!
