I do my very best not to think about that musical too hard. ...The movie adaptation, at least. The original wasn't... too bad. But still... so, so incredibly strange.

But I bet you like cats the animal for other reasons, huh? All the dignity, independence, the toebeans... they fall off stuff and pretend they didn't.

Fever dream, brief childhood nightmare, strange party talking point... I guess you can't say it doesn't contain multitudes, at the very least.

You get it, though! Half of them act like charming little aristocrats, the other half don't have a thought to share between them. I think there's really something in that contrast that makes everything so much better.
