The unnecessary hill I would die on is... Eevee should officially be co-mascot of Pokemon with Pikachu. What do you think?

Especially after releasing games where Pikachu and Eevee are starters!

I like the ones that happen because of high friendship. It's a tough choice between them, but I think I'll say ... Umbreon. He's a Dark type and the darkness is often misunderstood.

Yeah, they've been really creative with all of them. A lot of people are wondering if there'll be a new one for the Scarlet and Violet games.

Ah, they're characters from a popular franchise where I come from. They're cute little animals. Eevees look like foxes and act like cats. Pikachus ... well, they're supposed to be mice, but they don't look it so much to me.

Wut is an Eevee and Pikachu and Pokemon?

Pokemon is a popular franchise in my world. Eevee and Pikachu are two of the characters. They're cute little animals.

What do they look like?

[crystalmaster]

Eevees look like foxes, mostly, but with big ruffs. They act like kitties. Pikachus are rodents, usually said to be mice. Their ears are way different, though. And their tails are jagged like lightning. They have electric powers and shock people.

[He is not a huge fan of any Electric Pokemon due to that factor.]

And what does the Eevee do?

I think they were co-mascots in the Let's Go series? But I don't know if that was only in a few universes.

Yeah, we have those games! My friend Scotch loves them. They're pretty fun.

I haven't tried them yet. Been busy. I wanna update my phone once things settle. I never thought there was a way to make traveling and running more fun, but yeah! That about does it, right?

Is eevee your favorite?

... You like being on the run?

Pretty much. I used to dream of having one for a pet as a kid.

It should be! I feel as though there was some missed opportunity including Poliwhirl, though. It was almost a mascot back at the beginning, and I'd love to see more of it.

It was? Huh, I hadn't realized it almost achieved that status!

It was! I had been nearly obsessed with it, when I was younger. Something about it's not-quite-frog appearance had truly charmed me. I believe it and... Ivysaur, were the two other contenders. It's hard to imagine either of them on merchandise these days, though, isn't it?

It is. I wonder what happened, though.

You're right and you should say it.

Actually, let's make you even more right: Eevee should supplant Pikachu as the co-mascot, and Mimikyu should be the understudy mascot on all the kids' backpacks.

Eevee everywhere is a great idea. But Mimikyu? Won't that give all the kiddies nightmares?

Not all. You get the odd one who'd really resonate with an eldritch horror hidden under a blanket with a smile painted on it.

And I'd burn the world for that kid!

True, I'm sure there are some kids who like Mimikyu. I have to say I'm very curious about what it actually looks like. So you'd use it as a campaign to find Mimikyu fans? Why?
