Unfortunately, The Outsider was competing not only with Taako's eternal aloofness, but also the fact that he had spent a century traveling through the planes; seeing hundreds of different civilizations and worlds along the way, and then ended up on the god damn moon getting shot from cannons. The bar to impress was higher than it probably should be, but a bitch had to have standards, right? And he couldn't just gush over whatever they offered — that'd be too easy.
