It was a little dizzying to feel someone helping her up without lifting her--in a good way, that made a sensation race through every part of her like--not the cliche butterflies (she knew those, those only woke for Nick)--maybe pop rocks, fizzing and crackling in a way that was both delightful and a bit overwhelming.
She laughed, bright and louder than she really intended to (which probably wasn't surprising, given how long it had been since she'd been able to do more than weakly chuckle, at least with her own vocal cords), as she took his arm.
