Amanda blinked, brow knitting for a second as she considered his words, memories of a couple dozen-odd people in her high school years daring each other to ask her out, with both platonic and romantic intentions always turning out to be cruel jokes, weighing up against the reality of this sunshine-filled moment. If she were half as cynical as Nick--okay, she wouldn't even be here.
