After eventually getting bored painting the world with random things, Beatrix has decided to take some time wandering around looking for other people. Shouldn't be hard, right? There's nothing to block them from sight, after all! If her eyesight was better she could theoretically just see everyone from where she was standing... but it's not, so she has to actively wander.
